When does a participant complete registration?

A participant is considered to have "Completed Registration" when they click the "Finish Registration" button on the Review page of Event Registration.

Simply starting registration or filling in demographic information is not enough — the participant must reach the final Review page and click "Finish" to be marked as registered.

Why does this status matter?

The "Completed Registration" status is used throughout Clovi as a prerequisite for several important features:

  • Confirmation emails are only sent after registration is complete
  • Reminder emails require completed registration before they will be sent
  • Reports and participant counts reflect only completed registrations

Note: If a participant starts the registration flow but abandons it before clicking "Finish," they will not appear in your registered participant count and will not receive any event-related emails.

What happens during registration?

The Event Registration flow typically includes these steps:

  1. Participant enters demographic information (name, date of birth, email, etc.)
  2. Participant answers any required assessment or demographic form questions
  3. Participant selects an appointment time (if appointments are enabled)
  4. Participant reviews their information on the Review page
  5. Participant clicks "Finish Registration" — this is when registration is complete
