How do I send Register to SignUpGenius or another external URL?
Some events should not use Clovi appointment slots. Instead, employees register on an external scheduler such as SignUpGenius. For those events, turn on Use external registration URL so public Register opens that URL directly.
Important: Pasting a SignUpGenius link into the welcome message alone is not enough. The green Continue button still starts Clovi registration (Profile, Assessment, and so on). Use the Appointments setting below so Register and the welcome page go to the external URL.
How to configure it
- Open the event in Manage.
- Go to the Appointments tab.
- Check Use external registration URL.
- Enter the full URL (for example
https://www.signupgenius.com/...) and click Save.
The URL must be a valid http or https address. Clovi will not save the setting if the URL is blank or invalid.
What employees see
- Public Register opens the external URL (not Clovi booking).
- Opening the event welcome page redirects to the same URL.
- Clovi appointment counts and messages such as “No Appointment Available” or “0 appointments available” are hidden for that event.
What stays the same
Events without this setting keep the normal Clovi flow. Continue on the welcome page still goes to Profile, then Assessment, then scheduling when appointments are used.
Welcome message vs. this setting
You can still keep instructions in the welcome message for clarity, but the Appointments setting is what actually redirects Register and welcome. If employees still land on Profile or Assessment after Continue, the event does not have external registration enabled yet.
